Funeral Services

Nowadays there are many different types of funeral services. Your loved one may have left a will expressing their burial wishes or we can advise and guide you on different types of funerals available.

Our new chapel seats 150 people and is suitable for all religions and humanist funeral services. Hire includes a piano and sound system for ipods/CDs. If required we can record the funeral service. There is also a hearing aid loop system and disabled toilet.

Traditional
Funerals traditionally commence with a church service or family home followed by a ceremony at the crematorium or cemetery.

Secular/Non-religious
Many families now choose to have a secular or non religious funeral and we can arrange contact with a humanist or lay celebrants who will be able to conduct a ceremony in accordance with your wishes.

Bespoke Funerals
Funerals often serve as a celebration of an individual and many choose a themed funeral that reflects the life of the your loved one. We are able to provide many types of alternative coffins, horse drawn hearses, motorcyle hearse and other types of alternative transportation.

Cremation
Should your loved one have expressed a desire to be cremated there are two local crematoriums. The nearest crematorium enjoys a countryside peaceful, tranquil location near Buckie. Funeral services can be conducted at the multi-faith chapel which can seat up to 180 persons. The crematorium offers various ways in which a loved one can be remembered. Inverness crematorium has the choice of two chapels - one seating approx 180 persons and a smaller one seating approx 25, suitable for a private service.

Cemetries
Numerous cemetries in Moray have grave plots available for burial and we will organise this on your behalf after discussion with you. In some cases your loved one will already have purchased a lair. If you are unsure we can organise a search to find if a lair has been previously purchased.

Natural Burial
If your loved one requested a green burial there are various locations throughout the local area:
Wilkie Wood is based at The Park, Findhorn, near Forres
Delliefure is close to Grantown-on-Spey, Speyside
Cothiemuir Hill is close to Alford, 25miles from Aberdeen
